Staining the Deck

Over the holiday weekend my wife and I stained the deck in our backyard. When we bought the house I figured we needed to get it done, but I wasn’t really sure how badly it needed it…
The deck looks amazing now.
Only problem is the sunlight. The deck gets nearly direct sunlight from dawn to dusk all summer long, as a result we don’t really use it too much.
So next up – adding a pergola so it looks even better and with the added shade from a canvas ‘roof’ of some sort we’ll be able to use it even more often!

Actvity – Twitter, Facebook, Blog, and More- Facebook: Mark Power outages are great.
- Facebook: Mark House work weekend. Putting in soffit vents (attic needs ventilation to prevent ice dams in the winter) and replaced the dryer vent to the outside... Seems whoever installed the old one thought steel wool was an acceptable insulation material.
- Facebook: Mark I think my router just died.... Good thing I kept the old one until I can figure out what happened...
- Facebook: Mark Cleaned out the 'office' room and turned it into a Nursery. Complete with the crib we assembled. Less than 3 months...
- Facebook: Mark w00t. 70MPH winds coming our way according to the warning we just got...
