Zion National Park, Spring 2005
Virgin River – to the Virgin Narrows.
This is as far as one can go up the Zion Canyon following the
river before your feet get wet. The famous Virgin Narrows are beyond this.
Due to water temperatures about 45F (7C) I wasn’t about to hike up the
river to the narrows, and due to snow melt it would probably not have been the
safest day to do that, as you have no where but the river to go – there is no ‘high ground’
